The History of Jahrhundert Bier

The invention of refrigeration allowed lagers to be shipped long distances. Dortmund, in Westphalia, was the first German city to develop the "Dortmund" or "Export" style of brewing. This beer was first brewed to commemorate one century of brewing in Aying Bavaria, in 1978.

Taste

Golden, big herbaceous bouquet with a soft, medium body and a long lingering finish with dry hop tones.

Serving Suggestion

Schwammerlsuppe (mushroom soup), herb pancakes, pike with sauerkraut, pork roast, sauer-braten, falafel, pot stickers or 100 year old eggs. Serve in willibecker tumbler or stoneware mug at 45 °F.
